Maternity Clothes

As I mentioned in the earlier post, the girls in my Sunday School class got all of their maternity clothes together and one of the girls met up with me yesterday and passed these all on to me. Let me just say that so far I've gone through 2 boxes, and my closet is filled with maternity shirts, shorts, dresses, capris, skirts, tanks, sweaters, button ups, pants, dress pants, swim suits, and everything else you can imagine I might need. This was such a huge blessing and will save us so much money! We are so thankful for our amazing class!

Happy Easter!

I know I am a few days late, but hope everyone had a great Easter!
Just a few fun facts for the Baby at 11 weeks:

*He/She is now about 2 inches long (about the size of a plum) and is starting to look like a tiny human instead of an alien. :)
*He/She has hands and feet with individual fingers and toes with finger nails, hair follicles, and a tiny nose with nasal passages!

This week (With the exception of Friday) I have started to feel a little better, almost like someone opened the windows in a stuffy house. I am hoping that by next week I will get my energy back and start feeling good and less fatigued! Next week I will also start posting belly pictures. As of right now, I have the tiniest baby bump, but mostly its just my waistline expanding as I struggle to fit in my "what used to be comfy" jeans and t-shirts.

Thankfully, my awesome Sunday School class has gotten all of their maternity clothes compiled into 5 big plastic tubs and one of the girls is bringing them to me tomorrow! Since we are leaving for the beach on Thursday, I will be thankful for some looser fitting clothing!

When are we due?

Dr. Sal informed us at our doctor's appointment last Wednesday that our due date will be November 18th, 2011! We couldn't be more excited because Baby Godfrey will be here just in time for the Holidays. What a special gift he/she will be!

We've got another doctor's appointment scheduled in 2 weeks, and then 2 weeks after that for some basic prenatal testing, so hopefully those will go smoothly. And for those of you (including us) that are dying to know whether we are having a boy or a girl, our doctor says we can start checking for gender as soon as 5 weeks from now!

We are 10 weeks pregnant!!

We just had our first prenatal appointment Wednesday afternoon, and everything seems to be right on track and going well! They did our first ultrasound, and we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time! The Doctor said the heart rate is 183 beats per minute which is very strong, so we were happy to hear that!
Our most common asked question so far is "What is the gender?" Unfortunately, we won't find that out for another 5-8 weeks. Joe is pretty sure it's a boy, but I am secretly hoping for a girl...although either one will be fine with us! :)
